Thanks and Apologies
Hello Friends!

Apologies to everyone I haven't been keeping in touch with lately. I've been away for a long business trip lately for one employer and because that trip was coming up, I had to get a lot of work done for the other employer before I left. Hence, I haven't been good about returning calls, emails and invitations to things lately. Sad. If you haven't heard from me lately, I miss you and I promise to call soon to try to make sure we get together (especially if I promised to help you with the air conditioner WAAAY before all this hot weather came along)

Also thanks to all the kind people who sent birthday wishes while I was away. I'll have to figure out a time and place to celebrate. I'll have to do it soon, though, because I think I'm about to go off booze for a while as part of the diet I did a while ago and am seriously thinking of resurrecting. Maybe I'll just invite everyone over to hang out at my apartment and drink a big chunk out of my liquor cabinet. :)

Cheers all.

Oh dear, did my air-conditioner frustration get passed back to you? I convinced someone else that he wouldn't drop it down 3 storeys.

I'm glad to hear you have two employers, since last I heard, you were dwindling down to none.

I would love to toast your birthday, and my summer schedule is slightly more accommodating than my winter one. If I can't make it to whatever you plan, I might see you at Carolyn's rooftop bbq.

At the moment I'm feeling a bit too lazy to plan anything. 33 really isn't all that significant a number anyway, unless you're a big fan of 11's. I might just tell everyone to come to Karaoke and leave it at that.

Glad you got the A/C in. I didn't know if there was frustration going on, but I imagined a lot of it.

Laziness time would be a good Birthday Present To Self.

Next time you have to cancel on a commitment,
just send a quick email, OK? Disappointment is easier to deal with than uncertainty or guilt. Thanks.

i leave for a month on friday, but we really have to get together for a beer at some point.

speaking of beer, we should find out when the big beer fest at Fort York is this year (and see if you'll be back in time for it).

the actual birthday was nothing special, but I did get my Florida employers to buy me $100US worth of high-quality scotch and Carribean Rum. Was a big pain in the back to bring home, but now that I'm not carrying it all, I'm having fun sharing it with friends so that's all good. :)

Where you off to?
